The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that they trained in eight specialised courses in Logistics for the fourth quarter of 2025.At le
Adegbite said that the courses cut across logistics management, supply operations, driving and vehicle maintenance, fire and safety, as well as catering and hospitality.
“These students have been thoroughly prepared, in line with the standards of the Nigerian Army.
“I am confident they are ready to put into practice the lessons learned from this demanding programme,” Adegbite said.
He expressed gratitude to the COAS and the Commander of Training and Doctrine Command for the “continuous support and guidance” that had elevated NASST’s training capacity.
The commandant also commended the Director of Training in the school for his “tremendous effort in shaping the students into useful assets for Nigeria and the world”.
He said that partnerships with private sector institutions had continued to enrich the school’s curriculum, integrating Research and Development, ICT, social media literacy, leadership, and core logistics doctrine.
Providing further insight into the training, the Deputy Commandant and Director of Training in the school, Brig.-Gen. K. E. Inyang, said the school maintained its mandate of delivering “pragmatic, competency-based training” to officers and soldiers.
Inyang said that the fourth-quarter courses were inaugurated between October and November and involved extensive classroom work, doctrinal studies, practical exercises, and field operations.
According to him, the students were engaged in collaborative problem-solving, presentations, doctrinal reviews, and hands-on training in areas, such as catering, petroleum product handling, vehicle operations, fire response, and logistics chain management.
He said that many of the graduands conducted endowment projects, including equipment donations, facility renovations, and instructional upgrades, as part of their contributions to strengthening the school.
Inyang further said that NASST played a strategic role during Exercise Mobile Mobility IV, a nationwide field training operation, where students were deployed to provide logistics support in transportation, petroleum supply, catering, and fire safety.
“The exercise exposed our students to real-time field conditions and reinforced their understanding of the Nigerian Army’s logistics doctrine,” he said.
In a remark, the Special Guest of Honour, Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Balogun, lauded the institution for sustaining a culture of excellence.
Balogun, who is the Commander, 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, described the graduands as “critical contributors to the operational efficiency of the Nigerian Army”.
He also said that logistics personnel remained pivotal to mission success.
“This moment stands as a testament to your dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
“Your role in ensuring the efficient movement of personnel and materials as well as maintaining the highest standards in services is fundamental to achieving the operational goals of the Nigerian Army,” Balogun told the graduands.
He urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline, and the values of the Nigerian Army, wherever they are deployed.
He also commended the school authorities, saying that “the quality of training, infrastructure improvement and academic oversight reflect the vision of the COAS and the commitment of NASST’s staff”. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
